Climate Change Detectives

The participants will be asked to find an Earth observation image, describe it and link it to a climate problem. Images can be related to pollution, oceans, agriculture, forests etc. The source of images have been indicated in the guidelines which I am enclosing. A short title and original caption (200 words) should describe the following: Location, What is visible, and what climate problem is shown.  

 

All participants will receive a participation certificate, and their submissions will be shared on the ESA website.

Iris James Webb Experiment 

Presents you with

Cosmic Mining

Students are working with scientists and engineers at the UK Astronomy Technology Centre to analyse data from a previous space mission to help identify potential targets for the James Webb Space Telescope.

Data comes from the Spitzer Space Telescope and students will be analysing spectral data to help identify the object it originated from.

Data is provided by NASA and this project is approved by NASA.

Project is under the Science and Technology Facilities Council of UK
